Legacy Launch Success!
Celestis, Inc. is pleased to announce the successful
launch of our Legacy Flight on April 28, 2007
from Spaceport America in New Mexico. Over 300 guests
and media representatives from around the world witnessed
the flawless launch of an UP
Aerospace SpaceLoft XL rocket carrying more than
200 participants into space. Launch occurred at 8:58
a.m. MDT (14:58 GMT). The Legacy Flight marked
the first of our Celestis Earth
Rise service missions.
We want to thank all of our family members who joined
us for the launch as well as Spaceport America, UP Aerospace,
William Horton & Associates, Helping Hands, Inc.,
the New Mexico Museum of Space History, the Village
of Hatch, the flight team from Holloman Air Force Base,
the Boys and Girls Club of Alamogordo, and countless
others who made this mission possible.
The Legacy Flight was completed during the
week of the 10th anniversary of our first mission –
the Founders Flight – and we look forward
with great anticipation to the next decade of Celestis
Memorial Spaceflights. |
